Ensuring a healthy workforce
Our pre-employment medical examinations provide a documented record of the state of the employee’s health before joining your organisation. This health screen will also identify any illnesses, that may affect the prospective employee’s ability to do the job, and allow you to protect your employees from situations that may cause harm.
An initial online questionnaire will be assessed by Copra Health staff and if necessary followed by a face-to-face medical examination, to determine the prospective employee’s fitness for a particular role in a specific environment. Copra Health will provide advice on whether or not any adjustments or restrictions may be applicable. Some of the advisory notes include;
- The individual must be fit to perform tasks required effectively without risk to themselves and safety of colleagues.
- Consideration should be given to individual’s medical/functional capability versus inherent hazards and risks of the job.
- Request GP report if indicated.
- Provide general medical advice on the compatibility of the subject with the employer’s/job requirement.
Pre-employment assessments are essential and mandatory for certain high-risk occupations such as Fire fighters, Health Care Workers, Offshore workers, HGV Drivers and Ambulance/Blue light drivers.
